What a great way to test out a design before committing!<br />I'm looking forward to seeing your finished poinsettias.Shellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11665675002330640717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348229552579672011.post-73017883608547077362015-11-12T15:52:24.982-07:002015-11-12T15:52:24.982-07:00Like you Anne the quilting is my least favourite p...Like you Anne the quilting is my least favourite part of making a quilt. I adore working with the design and vibrant colours, but the quilting doesn't grab me. I am trying to overcome this and am getting better at it! I'm amazed that you manage to do it with such a small throat space. Love the colours in this quilt.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348229552579672011.post-4157876612703339692015-11-12T14:53:39.739-07:002015-11-12T14:53:39.739-07:00The design you picked is great, I really like how ...The design you picked is great, I really like how it compliments the fabric and the piecing design.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15612686505076697159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348229552579672011.post-77103711133637060372015-11-11T22:19:21.477-07:002015-11-11T22:19:21.477-07:00Great designs Ann!

I love when quilters explain their choices. I too get stalled on the FMQ part and have a backlog of quilts (four with my most recent addition) at this stage. And I really like that your are quilting on prints!!! SO many long armers on the various sites do elaborate work but it is on solids where the quilting is the star, not the fabrics. I love prints, and graphic bold design, and it is refreshing to see someone put thought into quilting those. Your quilting stitching choices are exquisite, well thought out and definitely in keeping with the tone and flavor of the fabric.DianeLoves2Quilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12704655734477952685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7348229552579672011.post-32294089099829408312015-11-11T18:37:17.408-07:002015-11-11T18:37:17.408-07:00Thank you for taking your readers through your tho...Thank you for taking your readers through your thought process and design choices for FMQ. I dread FMQ because I seem to create a multitude of problems for myself! Sometimes it seems I haven't basted properly, or I can't get the stitches even, or I have tension issues! I am in awe of your beautiful work! I admire the lengths you go to, to achieve such a wonderful result. For the curvy diamonds, could you do a curvy diamond about 1/4" away from the seam? I don't think it needs much in those sections at all, just some sort of anchor...
