QAYG

Quilt-As-You-Go (otherwise known as QAYG) is a method of quilting and piecing at the same time. There are several different methods of QAYG, each offering their own unique advantages.

I explored some of these methods while preparing a presentation for my local guild and have written
a series of blog posts about my findings. You can find links to each of the posts below.

QAYG Overview Part 1:  Stitch and Flip
QAYG Overview Part 2:  Block by Block without Joining Strips
QAYG Overview Part 3:  Block by Block with Joining Strips
QAYG Overview Part 4:  Row by Row with Backing
QAYG Overview Part 5:  Self Binding
QAYG Summary:  a summary of the links from Parts 1-5

These posts are not QAYG tutorials but they do include links to the tutorials I used.
I know I certainly learned a lot from my explorations and will definitely be using QAYG for future projects.

My hope is that you will be inspired to give QAYG a try. Enjoy.  : )

  1. Thank you so much for compiling this list. I've been wanting to try QAYG and having these references is very helpful. I would also like you to know that I love your work and you're an inspiration to another Coloradan.
