I've kept busy with some project deadlines the last couple of weeks and have decided I make better progress when I have an external deadline. Anyone else out there like that. My own self imposed deadlines for my personal projects just don't seem to work. Too easy to get an extension . . . : )
Last day of the month and I finally got my April bee blocks done for Carla at Grace and Favour. I found the basics of this sweet little block in the book 501 Rotary Cut Quilt Blocks by Judy Hopkins. I used scraps to make three 6" blocks. It was such a fun block to make that I'm dreaming up what I could do with more of them. They'd make a great table runner or Valentines wall hanging. Maybe a personalized baby quilt.
Also just wanted to remind all of you that May 1 is the last day for 10% off my patterns at Pattern Spot. Use coupon code TEMP10. The sale is happening in their contemporary category.
Posting for a WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced by Lee. Hop over and check out some of the other linkies to see what everyone has been up to and be inspired.
What an adorable heart block!!
ReplyDeleteSo looking forward to my mail!
ReplyDeleteSaw your patterns and link by way of Elizabeth - loved them! So tried ordering, but the discount code doesn't work. Does the special run through today (May 1) or did it end yesterday (4/30)?
ReplyDeleteThose <3 blocks are just beautiful!! So very sweet ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the heart blocks!
ReplyDeleteA note about the discount promo code for PatternSpot.com.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to enter the code exactly TEMP10 and note that the discount only applies to patterns in the Contemporary Quilts category.
We've extended the discount until midnight tonight in hopes that this can get sorted out.
Best Regards,

The heart blocks are So.Cute!
ReplyDeleteYour heart blocks are so charming. I am tempted to dust off some old heart patterns and join in the fun.
ReplyDeleteI really like the text prints you are using as the background to your hearts
ReplyDeleteLove the heart blocks! I was hoping my local library would have that book but they don't. I may have to buy it!
ReplyDeleteAdorable hearts!

I most definitely have the same issue of extending my own deadline. I give myself a time frame to complete a project but nearly never finish it in that time frame (if I finish it at all). If I have an external deadline I nearly always stick to it, even if I seem to leave everything until the last minute.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not alone in this :)
